Two Delegations from the ministry of gender child an social welfare went to Ethiopia and South Africa respectively, led by Undersecretary National MoGCSW and State Minister MoGCSW Upper Nile. Total 7 members in each representing MoGCSW (national and State), MoH, civil society, and UNFPA.
The Objectives of the study tour was;
- To learn best practices from SA and Ethiopia in establishment and management of shelters and hotlines.
- To learn about the supportive policies and legal frameworks for the protection of GBV survivors.
- To gain insight to guide the design, construction and operational aspects of the shelter management and the linked referral services and challenges therein.
- Find out about the role of different actors, especially, the government and the civil society for effective referrals and division of responsibilities.
