As part of the activities to mark the international Day for the Elimination of sexual violence in conflict , UNMISS women’s protection Advisory Unit and the Rule of Law Advisory Section organized a 2-day consultation with the MGCSW and the policy makers (Officials from the R-TGoNU, members of parliament, representatives of the Civil society organizations, and Representatives of the International Organizations,)  on the possible domestication of Model Legislative Provisions on Conflict Related Sexual Violence in South Sudan.

 

 

 

 

 

 

“This is yet another step in the fight against the scourge of Conflict Related Sexual Violence. The Model Legislative Provision represents one of those tools we can use to show that Sexual Violence is preventable not inevitable.” Stated the Minister, Hon Aya Benjamin Warille.
