on the 11th May 2022,  Senior government officials and civil society leaders from over 30 African countries met over the three-day symposium in Addis Ababa , Ethiopia to share their experiences and tackle rising levels of violence against children.

The ministry of Gender Child and social welfare was invited by the African Child Policy Forum to present South Sudan’s report on the efforts and lessons in preventing and Responding to Violence against Children who are in conflict situation.

 

 

 

 

The Director General of child welfare in South Sudan, Mrs. Regina Lullo also presented on ways to address special and multidimensional vulnerabilities children affected by armed conflict face in south Sudan.

There was a call for action. And representing the government of South Sudan, the ministry of Gender child and social welfare committed to taking the lessons learnt and be proactive to implementing the ideas shared.
