The ministry of Gender Child and social welfare commemorated the International Day of the Girl Child 2022 under the National Theme: The future belongs to the girl Child- the Time is now, Uphold Our Rights.
This was the 10th year since the day was recognized internationally by the United Nations for the promotion of Children, Women and girl’s rights. Children from different schools gathered and made this day very colorful. They shared their message and performed through music, games, poems and drama.

The minister thanked the partners for supporting the event and also the committee from the ministry that worked tirelessly to make sure the day was a success.
